Fixtures

The importance of young, developing players having quality game time is now well recognised. Here at UK football schools, we partner with many prestigious UK schools who have tremendous fixture lists. They play against other top private schools on a regular basis, in league competitions, and even the so-called friendlies against local rivals are always intensely contested.

In addition, the teams compete against the best schools in the country in very intense  cup competitions. ISFA, the independent schools Football Association, organises these tremendous competitions at the age groups under13, under 15 and under 18. These are very exciting and very competitive, and  very often our partner schools are involved  in the later stages.

The final category of fixtures are against the equivalent age groups in pro club academies. The excitement and importance of these matches is obvious. If you shine in a match against a pro club academy, then you will catch the eye of the scouts at the club, and the coach of the academy, and so your chances of being scouted are indeed high.

The standard of the football played in these fixtures is improving year on year, as the players in the school’s football academies clearly demonstrate the advantages of being in this high powered and exciting football environment. Pro club scouts know this. Increasingly they are to be found on the touchline of these games, and all our partner schools now boast of “success stories” of players who have gone on to forge a career in professional ranks from their school academies.
